Hmm… hot pakodas on a rainy, cold day! What a great thought! So it became our snack for the evening. This is how I made them!
I used:
- 1-cup Chickpea Flour (Senagapindi, Besan)
- ½ Onion, chopped lengthwise
- 2 Green Chilies, chopped fine
- 2 tsp Rice Flour
- A pinch of Baking Soda
- Some Curry Leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil to deep fry
To make:
First
mix all the above ingredients using little water. It shouldn’t be too
soft or too dry. Just add enough water so that the flour sticks to the
onions. The mixture should look like the picture on right.
Heat
the oil in a pan. Then take small batches of the flour and drop them
in the oil. Deep-fry them until they turn light brown in color.
Eat them while hot, as they taste so good while they are hot. Yummy in our tummy!
