Yummy Bajjis made with bread and crackers |
This weekend, I have made the bajjis with salt crackers and bread slices. They have turned out so good. Of course they might not be a variety, but I just named them like that.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Chickpea Flour (Besan)
- 2 or 4 Bread Slices
- Some Ritz Salt Crackers
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Red Chili Powder (optional)
- Some water to make batter
- Oil to deep fry
Preparation:
- Mix the besan (senagapindi) with the red chili powder, salt and soda and then make into batter by adding required water.
- Toast the bread slices and cut them into triangular shapes.
- Heat
oil in a pan. When it is hot, dip the triangular bread slices and the
crackers one by one and drop carefully in the oil.
- Fry them till they
are golden brown in color and then remove from the oil.
- Then
spread the bajjis on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with
ketchup or hot sauce. Yummy!!
