Microwave Milk Sweet (Doodh Peda)

Microwave Milk Sweet (Doodh Peda)

This is the easiest and yummiest sweet. The credit goes to my sister who made these for us when we last visited her. Thank you sis for this wonderful sweet!

Microwave Milk Sweet (Doodh Peda) Process

Check out the recipe as told by her:

Ingredients: (Yields 30 to 40 pieces)
  • 2 Condensed milk cans
  • 1 Half pint carnation dry milk powder box (has 3 or 4 individual pouches)
  • Some milk, as required
Preparation:
  1. Mix all the above ingredients with a hand mixer in a large microwavable bowl.
  2. Then place the bowl in the microwave and run the MW for about 2 min (high) (depending on individual MW power, adjust the settings).
  3. Take it out and mix thoroughly and keep the bowl again for 2 more minutes. Keep doing this until the batter gets thicken.
  4. It should be in brown color. Once it gets to brown color take it out and roll it or cut into the desired shapes.
  5. This yields approximately 30 to 40 pieces. Add more milk powder and one more condensed milk can to get more pieces.
  6. This can be done on the stove top too, but keep on stirring it as it gets burnt very fast.
  7. Yummy!!

Microwave Milk Sweet (Doodh Peda)

I am also sending Pumpkin Gel Pie that I posted a few days back to Mansi’s Vegetarian Thanksgiving event. Thanks for reminding me Mansi!

Hi Uma,
I would like to know how much proportion is the milk powder in cups. Can I use the full cream milk powder. The pedas look really very yum.
Thanks a lot.

@Eswari:

Welcome to my blog! Thanks for your nice comments.

For 1 can of condensed milk use 2 cups of milk powder.

Yes, you can absolutely use full cream powder.

Hope this helps :)
