This is a yummy way to consume any leftover salt crackers at home. If you’re like me who always buy items in bulk (I have to get rid of this habit) and finding a way to consume them without wasting, then this recipe is for you!! These pakodas tasted super-delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup powdered Salt Crackers (I used 20 Ritz Salt Crackers)
- 2 cups Chickpea Flour
- ¼ cup Rice Flour
- 1 small Onion, finely chopped
- 4 or 5 Green Chilies, finely chopped
- A handful of Cilantro, finely chopped
- A pinch of Baking Soda
- Salt as required
- Oil to deep-fry
Preparation:
- Mix all the ingredients except oil and make a thick batter by using very little water. Don’t make it too runny.
- Pour
oil in a pan and when it becomes hot, take small batches of the batter
and drop carefully into the oil.
- Fry till they turn golden brown in
color and then remove from oil.
- Repeat the same process with the
remaining batter.
- Spread on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Enjoy
these hot and yummy pakodas with desired dip or chutney and with a
cuppa.
- Perfect for the winter and a rainy day!! Yummy!!
